What Makes a Good Surgical Light?

Well, a perfect formula to a successful illumination is a product of medical advancement. We have now devised the kind of illumination surgeons needed. An Operation Theater is a place where even a slight oversight here & there might be devastating and disastrous. A bad illumination can easily become a cause of such error. Back in history, sunlight was the only source of illumination while in surgery. Else the surgeon had to rely on whatever vision they would get through candles. Halogens then took over but soon their drawback and weaknesses came to light like a fly in the ointment. It was then realized the need for a perfect solution for a place that allows no imperfection. To enumerate the basics of illumination, here we are- 1) Heat - Prolonged exposure to heat and radiation can damage tissues which are not acceptable.
